Guest Speakers and MC's.

Guest speakers

If you’re having a conference, meeting, or motivation training day for staff, we’ll find the right person to be your guest speaker and/or Master of Ceremonies to make it a professional and memorable experience.

Here's an example of one of our guest speakers available (he's also a great professional photographer, check out www.clouseau.co.nz ):

Brett Amos – aka “Clouseau”

speakerI was born in Christchurch and at the early age of 7 my parents were told (by a couple of Doctors) that I was handicapped and would always be a slow learner and never amount to much.

My mother refused to believe this and ended up taking me to a guy who was a colour therapist and a naturopath. Within a short period of time I had gone from being asked to leave the primary school I was at to being allowed to stay. Then from the bottom of the class to the top of the bottom class and to cut a long story short I was in the second to top 6th form class of my year at college (there were 11 classes)

I left school and wanted to join the Army but I failed my medical. I then went on to train as a chef at ATI and work in the Lord Nelson Restaurant. I love cooking but did not like the lack of people contact.

I then joined Cadbury Schweppes and was the youngest ever territory manager appointed in NZ. I went on to achieve many awards whilst with them.

I had always wanted to help people and loved adventure, so in 1993, I joined the NZ Police.  This is where I gained the nickname “Clouseau” after Inspector Clouseau on the Pink Panther movies. This is another story.

I had a fantastic time and met many great people who helped make me the person I am today.

I worked in all areas of policing including riot teams, drug teams and VIP protection teams. I was also a team leader of the New Georgia Province in the Solomon Islands. Whilst there, I received 4 commendations for my work.

I left the Police in Feb 2006 and became an International Police Advisor in Basra, Iraq.

This was a hugely challenging role as well as a fantastic adventure. Emotions were extreme. I have never laughed or cried so much in my life.

My story of Iraq is called “My Iraq” and it is the sometimes very funny, sometimes very sad, story of the people of Iraq and their daily struggle with life. It is also the story of the unsung heroes, the ones who you never hear about on the news.

speaker 2This story will make you laugh and may even make you shed a tear. It will challenge your beliefs and will show you that if you believe in yourself you can do anything.

The talk is followed up by a moving 15 minute video presentation of my own collection of photos.

Currently I am working as a photographer and in the Real Estate Industry. I am planning to soon head off shore and find another adventure and challenge.

“Be the change you wish to see in the World”
